What is Matlab?

Stands for Matrix Laboratory and used for programming, 2D & 3D graphing, data analysis, and matrix manipulation. MATLAB is a package that has been purpose-designed to make computations easy, fast and reliable. Basic MATLAB is good for the following.

• Computations, including linear algebra, data analysis, signal processing, polynomials and interpolation, 
  numerical integration (quadrature), and numerical solution of differential equations.
